The bill would amend the Government Code as it relates to the internet publication of certain information relating to classes and programs required for release on parole. According to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Board of Pardons and Paroles, the costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.
This analysis assumes implementing the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant impact on state correctional populations or on the demand for state correctional resources.
