No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to prohibit hospitals from restricting patient visitation to fewer than one person during certain periods of disaster, unless federally required. The bill would not apply to state hospitals. 

According to the Health and Human Services Commission, no significant fiscal impact to the state is anticipated. 

According to the University of Texas System Administration and the Texas Tech University System Administration, no fiscal impact to their systems is anticipated. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
