No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 25 of the Tax Code to require an appraisal district using a unique account number to identify a property in the appraisal records to provide notice to a property owner if the appraisal district changes the account number or assigns a new account number to identify all or part of the property. The notice must be included in the next notice of appraised value.

The bill would take effect January 1, 2022.
