No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Water Code to allow public-private partnerships in the implementation of projects awarded financial assistance from several different funds and accounts administered by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). The bill would take effect September 1, 2021. Based on information provided by TWDB, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.
