FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION
Revision 1

April 14, 2021

TO:
Honorable Harold V. Dutton, Jr., Chair, House Committee on Public Education

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2954 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to a suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention program for certain public elementary schools.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to a suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention program for certain public elementary school campuses could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

School districts and charter schools that establish a local suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention program may incur additional costs of participation, including the provision of significant resources to participating schools.
