IN RE: |
HB3008 by Ramos (Relating to annulment of a marriage on the grounds of impotency.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend the Family Code to provide that a court may grant an annulment of a marriage to a party if either party was permanently impotent at the time of marriage, the petitioner did not know of the impotency at the time of marriage, and the petitioner ceased cohabitation with the other party within one year after the petitioner learned of the impotency and has not voluntarily cohabited with the other party since ceasing cohabitation.
Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.
