No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to require the affidavit required to be filed in suits by a government entity that requests permission to take possession of a child either without prior notice and a hearing or after notice and a hearing, or after taking a child into possession without a court order, to describe all reasonable efforts that were made to prevent or eliminate the need for removal of the child.

Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.
