The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require a facility or a private agency on behalf of certain facilities, to obtain criminal history record information maintained by the Department of Public Safety for a person who is an applicant of or a volunteer with the facility.
The Health and Human Services Commission indicates any cost to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and can be absorbed within available resources.
