No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Health and Safety Code relating to prohibiting billboards on cemetery property. The bill authorizes the Office of the Attorney General to bring a suit for injunctive relief and/or civil penalties against a person who is in violation of this bill.

According to the Office of the Attorney General and the Office of Court Administration, any additional work resulting from the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.

According to the Comptroller's Office, the fiscal impact of the bill cannot be determined.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
