HB3188 by Krause (Relating to a divorce on the ground of insupportability.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to allow a court to grant a divorce, without regard to fault, only if both parties in the marriage agree that the marriage has become insupportable because of discord and there is no reasonable expectation of reconciliation.

Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
