HB3190 by Krause (Relating to the waiting period for a divorce on the grounds of insupportability.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to extend the waiting period for a divorce filed on grounds of insupportability from 60 days to 180 days if the household of one of the spouses is the primary residence of a child under 18, a child in high school, or a disabled adult child.

Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
