No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would repeal the Government Code provision that provides that the salary of a full-time criminal law magistrate appointed for certain district courts and criminal county courts at law in Tarrant County cannot exceed an amount equal to 90 percent of the sum of the state base salary paid to a district judge as set by the General Appropriations Act and the maximum amount of county contributions and supplements allowed by law to be paid to a district judge.

According to the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
