LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION
March 30, 2021
TO:
Honorable Rafael Anchia, Chair, House Committee on Pensions, Investments & Financial Services
FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB3510 by Lambert (Relating to authorizing the Texas Finance Commission to ensure that employees of regulated entities may work from home under certain circumstances.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (OCCC) anticipates that the bill would result in a reduced number of licensed locations, reducing the revenue assessed by the OCCC. The OCCC is a self-directed, semi-independent state entity and does not receive appropriated funds. The OCCC notes that they would likely need to offset this loss by an increase in fees.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
