Honorable Joe Deshotel, Chair, House Committee on Land & Resource Management
FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB3570 by Wilson (Relating to the transfer of certain real property held by the Texas
Department of Criminal Justice.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to transfer certain real property to the City of Burnet. The bill would require the land to be used for a purpose that benefits the public; otherwise, it would automatically revert to TDCJ.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
