The bill would amend the Election Code related to the submission of certain information to the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC). It would remove certain statutory requirements related to mailings.
According to the TEC, the bill would reduce the annual mailing of personal financial statement notices; however, any savings from this reduction is not expected to have a significant fiscal impact..
According to the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the bill would not have a significant revenue impact on the state.
