No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require health care providers and hospitals that received uncompensated care pool payments to provide a patient diagnosed with diabetes who requires insulin information regarding the availability of pharmaceutical manufacturer patient assistance programs that may reduce the cost of insulin to the patient. The Health and Human Services Commission indicates it could absorb the costs associated with the bill within current resources.
