Honorable Richard Peña Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs
FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB3953 by Herrero (Relating to the creation of the open burn pit registry fund and a voluntary contribution to that fund when applying for a handgun license.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.
It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the creation of the open burn pit registry fund and a voluntary contribution to that fund when applying for a handgun license could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
