The bill would amend the Texas Government Code relating to the representation of a community supervision and corrections department in cases in which a person under the supervision of that department challenges the fact or duration of the supervision.

According to the Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Criminal Justice, any costs associated with bill could be absorbed within current resources.
