No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to certain duties of law enforcement agencies concerning certain information subject to disclosure to a defendant could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

The Texas Association of Counties does not anticipate a significant fiscal impact to counties.

Houston Police Department estimates a cost of $144,000 per year for additional staff to comply with the provisions of the bill.
