No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the inclusion of social and emotional skills in character trait instruction provided by public schools could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
School districts and charter schools that have not yet implemented a character education curriculum or whose current program does not include the elements required by this legislation may incur costs of instructional materials, lesson plan development, and professional development in order to implement the proposed legislation.
