LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 17, 2021

TO:
Honorable Brian Birdwell, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB211 by Zaffirini (Relating to judicial review of acts by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code and the Water Code related to judicial review of acts by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration and the TCEQ, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed with existing resources. In addition, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated to the State court system due to implementation of the provisions of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
