IN RE:	SB281 by Hinojosa (Relating to the use of hypnotically induced statements in a criminal trial.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to prohibit the admission of testimony obtained by investigative hypnosis against a defendant in a criminal trial, whether offered in the guilt or innocence phase or the punishment phase of the trial. 

Based on information provided by the Office of Court Administration, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
