LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 27, 2021

TO:
Honorable Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor, Senate

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB437 by Blanco (Relating to personal protective equipment management and the establishment of a personal protective equipment advisory committee.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management is required to implement this Act only if the legislature appropriates money specifically for that purpose or if federal money is provided to this state and by law made available to the division for the purposes of this Act. If the legislature does not appropriate money specifically for that purpose or if federal money is not provided to this state and by law made available to the division for the purposes of this Act, the division may, but is not required to, implement the Act using other appropriations available for the purpose.

It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the establishment of a personal protective equipment advisory committee could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
