The bill would amend the Water Code to define the term "river authority" and would authorize the Governor to designate a member of the Board of certain river authorities to serve as a Presiding Officer. The bill would take effect September 1, 2021.

According to the Water Development Board, no fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
