SB777 by Hinojosa (Relating to the establishment by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs of colonia self-help centers in certain counties and to the representation of those counties on the Colonia Resident Advisory Committee.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the establishment of colonia self-help centers and the representation of counties on the Colonia Resident Advisory Committee. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, this analysis anticipates no fiscal implications to the State.

Local Government Impact

Nueces County reports it would use existing facilities to house the Colonias Self-Help Center authorized by the bill; however, the county indicates it would need three staff to operate the center, with estimated salary and benefit costs totaling $116,600 per year.
