SB1076 by Paxton (Relating to the creation of a work group on blockchain matters concerning this state.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create a work group on blockchain matters concerning the state and require the workgroup to develop a master plan for the expansion of the blockchain industry within the state. The master plan must be submitted to certain legislative committees of the Senate and House of Representatives no later than October 31, 2022.

It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to the Trusteed Programs within the Office of the Governor could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
