No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Estates Code to require the Office of Court Administration (OCA) to establish by rule a mediation training course that includes at least 24 hours of training for mediators of contested guardianships and related proceedings. Under the bill's provisions, the office could provide the training through a training provider.
Based on information provided by the OCA, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated as a result from implementing the provisions of the bill.
