No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would establish the authority of the governor to coordinate, develop, and execute an interstate compact for border security among interested states and seek the approval of the United States Congress for the compact.
According to the Office of the Governor, any additional work resulting from the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.
