No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Based on the information provided by the Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and Department of Public Safety, it is assumed that the costs associated with the bill's provisions relating to a study on the impacts of using certain motor vehicle technologies could be absorbed using existing resources.

The Texas A&M Transportation Institute assumes that any costs associated with conducting the study could be accommodated through a contract with TxDOT.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
