No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code to prohibit a county with a population of more than four million from creating a local government corporation to develop, construct, operate, manage, or finance a toll project or system located in the county.
Local Government Impact
According to the Department of Transportation, the bill could protect local transportation funds garnered by toll road-related revenues from being diverted to non-transportation projects.
