No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to conduct and submit a study on the effect of administrative penalties assessed against substance use disorder service providers. The bill would also require HHSC to post administrative penalty schedules on the agency's website. The section of the bill requiring the study expires on September 1, 2023.

It is assumed that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
