SB2120 by Hughes (Relating to a study on the safety of Texas swim schools.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to conduct a study to assess the current safety of swim schools in the state. HHSC would be required to submit a report to the legislature no later than December 2, 2022.

It is assumed any cost for HHSC to implement provisions of the bill would be minimal and can be absorbed within available resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
