LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 87TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 3, 2021

TO:
Honorable Bryan Hughes, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs

FROM:
Jerry McGinty, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
SB2233 by Menéndez (relating to the completion of sexual harassment prevention training and ethics training to register as a lobbyist.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code regarding certain sexual harassment training to register as a lobbyist.

While the Texas Ethics Commission indicates there would be a cost to the agency related to modification of an existing database, the agency could absorb those costs using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
