Pursuant to a notice posted on March 12, 2021, revised on March 12, 2021, and permission granted on March 18, 2021, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 10:38 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hunter; Goldman; Guillen; Landgraf; Minjarez; Moody; Morrison; Murr; Schofield; and Turner, Chris.

 

A quorum was present.

Committee heard testimony on demographic trends and redistricting resources. Testimony was taken from the Texas Demographic Center and the Texas Legislative Council.

At 12:21 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
