Pursuant to a notice posted on August 25, 2021, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 10:01 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hunter; Rose; Guillen; and Morrison.

 

A quorum was present for the sole purpose of taking testimony, pursuant to Rule 4, Section 16A.

 

(Representatives Anchia, Goldman, Jetton, Moody, Thompson, Senfronia, and Turner, Chris participating virtually, pursuant to Rule 4, Section 16A.)

(Representative Cole also present.)

 

The Committee held a statewide hearing regarding the 2020 U.S. Census data. Testimony was taken from the State Demographer. The Committee also heard testimony from the public.

At 12:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
