Pursuant to a notice posted on August 25, 2021, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 10:01 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Hunter; Rose; Guillen; and Morrison.

 

A quorum was present for the sole purpose of taking testimony, pursuant to Rule 4, Section 16A.

The Committee held a statewide hearing regarding the 2020 U.S. Census data. Testimony was taken from the State Demographer. The Committee also heard testimony from the public.

At 12:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
