Pursuant to a notice posted on August 19, 2021, the House Committee on Constitutional Rights & Remedies, Select met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Ashby, at 9:31 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Ashby; Clardy; Geren; Jetton; Klick; Landgraf; Longoria; Lozano; Shaheen; and White.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SJR 3.

The chair moved that SJR 3, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
