Pursuant to a notice posted on August 19, 2021, revised on August 20, 2021, the House Committee on Constitutional Rights & Remedies, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Ashby, at 9:14 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Ashby; Bucy; Clardy; Geren; Jetton; Johnson, Ann; Klick; Landgraf; Longoria; Lozano; Shaheen; and White.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 6.

The chair recognized Representative Smith to explain SB 6.

The chair recognized Representative Smith to close on SB 6.

SB 6 was left pending without objection.

At 1:09 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
