Pursuant to a notice posted on April 30, 2021, a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on April 30, 2021, and permission granted on May 4, 2021, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the acting chair, Representative Lynn Stucky, at 5:26 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Stucky; Anderson; Cason; Longoria; Lopez; Spiller; Stephenson; and Turner, John.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 476

 

The chair laid out SB 476.

 

The chair explained SB 476.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

The chair laid out SB 390, the companion to HB 681.

 

Representative Anderson moved that SB 390, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
