Pursuant to a notice posted on May 8, 2021, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the acting chair, Representative Charles "Doc" Anderson, at 1:20 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Anderson; Lopez; Spiller; Stephenson; and Turner, John.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

SB 58

 

The chair laid out SB 58, the companion to HB 751.

 

Representative Lopez moved that SB 58, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Anderson; Lopez; Spiller; Stephenson; Turner, John (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Coleman; Stucky; Cason; Longoria (4).

 

HB 3447

 

The chair laid out HB 3447 as pending business.

 

Representative Spiller moved that HB 3447, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Anderson; Lopez; Spiller; Stephenson; Turner, John (5).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Coleman; Stucky; Cason; Longoria (4).
