Pursuant to a notice posted on May 13, 2021, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the acting chair, Representative Lynn Stucky, at 3:33 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Stucky; Anderson; Cason; Lopez; Spiller; Stephenson; and Turner, John.

 

A quorum was present.

 


 

SB 504

 

The chair laid out SB 504 as pending business.

 

Representative Lopez offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Lopez moved that SB 504, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Stucky; Anderson; Cason; Lopez; Spiller; Stephenson; Turner, John (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Coleman; Longoria (2).

 

SB 1165

 

The chair laid out SB 1165 as pending business.

 

Representative Turner, John moved that SB 1165, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                           None (0).
