Pursuant to a notice posted on February 22, 2021, and permission granted on February 24, 2021, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Collier, at 2:16 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Collier; Bell, Keith; Cason; Cook; Crockett; Hinojosa; Johnson, Ann; and Vasut.

 

A quorum was present.

The Committee met to hear invited testimony on the Criminal Justice System in the State of Texas.

 

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

 

 

At 6:46 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
