Pursuant to a notice posted on May 19, 2021, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Collier, at 1:48 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Collier; Bell, Keith; Cook; Crockett; Hinojosa; Johnson, Ann; Murr; and Vasut.

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 1495.

 

Representative Bell, Keith offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Bell, Keith moved that SB 1495, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Representative Cook moved to reconsider the vote by which SB 568 failed to be reported from committee. The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.
