Pursuant to a notice posted on August 22, 2022, the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Goldman, at 10:05 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Goldman; Herrero; Craddick; Darby; Geren; Harrison; King, Tracy O.; Longoria; and Reynolds.
A quorum was present.
(Representative Anchia participating virtually, pursuant to Rule 4, Section 16A.)
The Committee met jointly with the Committee on State Affairs to consider the following joint interim charge:
Monitor the agencies and programs under the Committee's jurisdiction and oversee the implementation of relevant legislation passed by the 87th Legislature. Conduct active oversight of all associated rulemaking and other governmental actions taken to ensure the intended legislative outcome of all legislation, including the following:
SB 3, relating to preparing for, preventing, and responding to weather emergencies and power outages. (Joint charge with Committee on State Affairs)
Testimony taken/registration recorded. (See attached witness list.)
At 5:00 p.m., on the motion of Representative Goldman and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
