The chair stated that when announcing the result of 4 ayes and 3 nays on the motion to report HB 631 favorably as substituted, the chair mistakenly stated that the motion prevailed. The chair further stated that the motion had failed because the motion did not receive an affirmative vote of a majority of the membership of the committee. Without objection, the chair directed that the minutes for today's hearing reflect the correct outcome of the vote on the motion to report HB 631 (see page 3 of these minutes).
