Pursuant to a notice posted on February 26, 2021, and permission granted on March 3, 2021, to meet while the House is in session, the House Committee on Higher Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Murphy, at 8:08 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Murphy; Pacheco; Frullo; Ortega; Parker; Raney; Turner, Chris; and Turner, John.

A quorum was present.

(Representatives Cortez and Muñoz, Jr. participating virtually, pursuant to Rule 4, Section 16A.)

Chairman Murphy made opening remarks.

Vice-Chairman Pacheco made opening remarks.

The committee heard invited testimony.

At 10:15 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
