Pursuant to a notice posted on April 1, 2022, the House Committee on Higher Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Murphy, at 10:08 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Murphy; Cortez; Frullo; Lujan; Raney; and Turner, John.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

(Representatives Ortega and Turner, Chris participating virtually, pursuant to Rule 4, Section 16A.)

 

The Committee met to hear testimony on the following interim charge:

 

Review progress toward the goals of the 60x30TX plan, including institutional strategies for responding to changing workforce needs and demands, including workforce education, industry certification, and degree programs to address health care shortages.

 

Testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 3:07 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
