Pursuant to a notice posted on May 17, 2021, the House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Raymond, at 12:33 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Raymond; Buckley; Cyrier; Lambert; and Lopez.

SB 1208

The chair laid out SB 1208, the senate companion to HB 3068.

Representative Buckley moved that SB 1208, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Raymond; Buckley; Cyrier; Lambert; Lopez (5).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Biedermann; Gervin-Hawkins; Morales, Eddie; Tinderholt (4).

The chair laid out SB 1704.
