Pursuant to a notice posted on May 3, 2021, and permission granted on May 3, 2021, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Neave, at 4:10 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Neave; Swanson; Cook; Frank; Leach; Ramos; Vasut; and Wu.

The chair laid out SB 286, the companion to House Bill 2952 by Neave.

 

Representative Wu moved that SB 286, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
