Pursuant to a notice posted on February 26, 2021, revised 2 times on March 2, 2021, and permission granted on March 3, 2021, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative White, at 9:01 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives White; Bowers; Goodwin; Harless; Hefner; Morales, Eddie; Patterson; and Tinderholt.

A quorum was present.

The Committee met to hear invited testimony on matters pertaining to disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
