Pursuant to a notice posted on February 24, 2021, and permission granted on February 24, 2021, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Ken, at 2:01 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives King, Ken; Gervin-Hawkins; Burns; Clardy; Frullo; Israel; Krause; Martinez; and Morales, Christina.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

 

 

The committee met for organizational purposes and heard testimony from the Texas Parks and

Wildlife Department, the Texas Historical Commission, the Texas State Library and Archives

Commission, the State Preservation Board, the Texas Commission on the Arts, the Texas Economic Development and Tourism Office, and the Texas Music Office.

At 3:59 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
